Here are a few pics from our hike. E loved exploring and running down the road near the fields.
E was sent home from school today. Mild fever. She’s taking a nice long nap and hopefully will be all better by tomorrow.
J’s passport and US birth certificate have come and today we got her residence permit, too. So we’re all official.
Only 3 more days of leave for me… wow, it has gone quickly…..
Michael made a video to celebrate E’s second birthday. We hope you all like it.
You can download it here. Again, it’s big. We’ll take it down in a couple of days.
We attended a fun 30th birthday celebration for our friend, Shannon, yesterday morning. It involved waterskiing and the weather actually cooperated, which was quite shocking. No pics, unfortunately– we forgot to charge the camera batteries. But it really was a nice celebration. We all had fun.
In a little while we will head out on a short hike in the Fasanerie.
We had a nice evening opening a few presents and then going to McDonald’s for dinner. We are metering out the presents and will give her a few each day for the next few days. One of the favorites that we opened before dinner was a shopping basket (E calls it her “purse”) full of plastic food items. Thanks, Matt, Becky, & K! E insisted on taking it with us to McDonald’s (and also in the car to daycare this morning).
She seemed to be especially fond of the plastic ice cream cone.
