I woke up to breakfast of scrambled eggs, sausage, and homemade banana nut muffins– which the girls helped Daddy with.

Then we took a walk at Walnut Woods State Park– it was a beautiful morning.

Our walk involved seed pods

tadpoles

and just general fun.

I am a lucky mommy, indeed. Happy Mothers’ Day to all the mothers out there!!

For those of you wondering about other stuff… J is completely potty trained, E is the queen of the monkey bars at school and the uneven bars at gymnastics class, and our house is a dusty construction mess. They are supposed to be finished this week, and then we will post pics of the bathrooms’ transformation!

We were lucky that the Charliers came to visit last weekend– we had fun at the Shriner’s Circus, despite the insane amount of hawking that goes on there…. they have many special announcements during the show encouraging you to buy one thing or another. It’s amazing. E rode an elephant and both E and B rode miniature ponies, too.

Hooray for equality!!

Our grandkids will be so baffled by this… much like when I hear about the suffragettes.
