Speakers, Bookshelves and Illness

Pete finally caught what N and I are sharing. S is so far good. I go to the Dr. tomorrow to try to get better drugs.
Because illness is imminent, Pete wanted to put the speakers up, so we did. We’ll test them this weekend. As soon as we walked in, we saw the framed in bookshelves. Here is a pic (Click on it for a panorama view):

I am very happy. Sick, but happy. Molding is going up. Windows are all framed in. Linoleum enters the bathroom tomorrow, tile this weekend or early next week. Hardwood, cabinets and the stairs right after that. We’ll be in in no time now. Matty wants to say hi too. Notice her increasing size? Its not all hair.

Building News

First news- S was absolutely right about the Marten. Pete and I saw one cross the road with a small rodent in its mouth on our way to work this morning. It was about 16-18 inches long (including the tail) and was really moving quickly. I saw a weasel a few years ago, now the marten. Its exciting.

The first of two garage doors is up. The subflooring is down and the tile equipment is in place to start tomorrow. The electrician is putting everything up tomorrow- so the lights we bought were delivered today by us.

I dealt with the phone hookup today and we’ll have a new number, but its easy to remember and heck, we wanted an even number anyway.

I am still sick, though a little better. N is sick now but a real trooper. I’m looking forward to making it through tomorrow.

First Floor

The first floor is in- oak colored and grained laminate in the grown-ups bedroom. We hoped to crank two out today, but there was a pesky closet to work through, the wrong reducer that had to be returned and replaced and about an hour of setting up saws to use. Ray lent us all of his saws so we didn’t need to bring over the table saw or miter or.. The floor looks pretty good. This stuff was clickX, and was pretty easy to work with. Last time we used Witex which really is quite directional in its installation- here we could move left or right, forward or backwards as necessary. It made the closet easier.

S and N watched a movie on the lap top and they also did a bit of arts and crafts and coloring. They snowshoed for about 45 minutes and saw a couple of holes in the snow with tracks emanating from them. I am not good enough with winter tracks to identify the two I saw- but N is pretty certain she saw turkey tracks further back (likely) and they definitely saw deer tracks. Its the smaller mammals that are hard.
