Dragon’s Den

Since the last post, B was taken to the hospital Sunday night with a raging ear infection. He still isn’t 100%. In the last 9 days of school he has missed 6. He went back to school today.
He made the Freshman “A” baseball team at the high school. He is the 3rd basemen. Yeah. His first game was tonight and it was freezing. I guess he should be sick again by tomorrow. S is just being her usual self. She has been swamped with homework every night. She has been taking classes for the ACT test plus her regular class load. She has been getting a bit stressed with the ACT class and the extra tests for her (AP) advanced placement tests. Only 2 1/2 months left of school.

Well B is home from school again today. This makes day 3 for him. Monday was so bad that when I arrived home early from work he had actually camped out in the bathroom and was sleeping. The fever broke yesterday evening and it appears that he is struggling with a cold now. We should know something by the end of the week as to which freshman baseball team he makes and what position he will play. Both freshman coaches seem very nice. Although the best part is the fund raiser. He needs to sell 10 discount golf packages at $40 a package. So I have a week and half to sell the remaining 6 packages. Please tell all you golfing friends to call me:-) Give me a candy bar fundraiser any day.

I try to be a good mom and stay awake until all kids are home. Do I get a thank you? NO. Do I get Hi Mom? NO. Instead I get giggles and my picture taken. I really tried to stay awake but it didn’t work.

Steph thought it was funny that my feet were sticking out.

This is what a Streamwood High Baseball player looks like. That’s right our B has official been selected to play baseball. He doesn’t know what position he will play or if he will be on the A or B team. He will be going Saturday for practice, meetings, and uniform orders. So check the blog. I will try to keep game results up to date and maybe even some highlight photos whenever possible.
