Now You See Them; Now You Don’t TADA!!!!

Yes, it’s magic or the magic of laser and the skilled had of a surgeon. Brandon’s tonsils are out. The operation went very well, as expected. The doctor commented that his tonsils were “nasty” and it’s good that he had them out.

We tend to agree.

The pain has been managable. He’s on Tylynol 3 w/codeine. However, the doctor warned that the pain gets worse on days 3, 4, 5 so I don’t think we’re out of the woods yet. Bradon has been very good about drinking plenty of fluids and he ate Jello most of the afternoon & night. Today he can move on to the puddings and ice cream. He is actually dying for a milkshake. Yes, we are all planning on spoiling him. At least for a few more days:)

However, did any of you think you would ever see the day that Brandon didn’t speak? It is so strange.

1 postman; 1 policeman; 3 plows *Winter in Streamwood*

Yep, We have received 13″ of snow. Being that we live on a court our street is plowed last. But they had plowed sometime during the night. HOWEVER, not good enough:)

Our very nice postman tried to deliver and could not make it down our street so he decided to leave. HAHAHAHA with the nice incline at the end of our street and the traffic on Schaumburg Rd. and the underplowed street opening. Not possible. Even trying to shovel him a path. It wasn’t going to work.

I being a concerned citizen for his safety, Hence if he caught traction he would fly into traffic and get smashed, I called the village. But alas, I was told the public works department were at lunch. “Oh, I replied what should I do, he could get hurt?” and the nice lady at the village hall connected me to the police department dispatch.

The police did arrive and they too had traction issues. Well before you know it we had one of the biggest plows the village owns, a normal size plow and Tim Schneider (big cheese in Streamwood) with a plow attached to a village truck. We have one of the cleanest streets in Streamwood. I guess when the police are called and they have problems things get done and promptly.

We all agree that it was a funny site seeing that many plows on our court.
