Thankgiving was at Gina & Andy’s this year. I think everyone had fun. I did.

Today with help from Rich, Jeannine & Lee I put up my Christmas lights. I was very excited to do this on the house for the first time.
Jeannine’s company had their annual picnic today. As usual I attended as her guest. The picnic was held at Randall Oakes Park. There was a petting zoo with many different animals and with some help from her coworkers she finally overcame her fear of touching a cow. I think that they may have bonded and would not be surprised is she decided to sponsor her new friend.
I made a Coconut layer cake for the baking contest that they hold each year. I should have taken a pic before I left the house but I didn’t. I had wanted a Coconut cake for a few months now. I made the one from Americas Test Kitchen. ATK has not failed me yet, I won 1st place. The son of one of J9’s coworkers actually scraped the remnents of the cake off the plate and told me it was the best thing he ever ate. This is what was left.
On another note, Maggie lied to me last night and told me that J9 & Lee didn’t feed her. She actually yelled at me to feed her twice. She lied to me. I have been defending her for years and she lied. Bad Maggie.

The movers showed up at 8:15 and left at 11:15. Three hours. They where very nice, though I just found out they broke my desk. I will have to call tomorrow and make a claim. If that was the worst of the damage then I can deal (yes I am calm).
Rich spent the night Friday and helped me alot. Jnine, Lee, Robin, Mom, Dad, Gina and K all came over to help. Lee and Jnine got and installed blinds in the master bedroom for me. Robin became the unpacking task master. SHe really motivated us to move our butts. We thought that the garbage disposal did not work but Robin found the switch and it works great.
We found a pizza place close by that Jnine and Lee used to order from around 25 years go. It was deamed good by all and will be ordered again.
A big dent has been made putting everything away but it will take time.
Thank you Mom, Dad, Jeannine, Lee, Gina and everyone else for all of your help in getting to this point. I love you all and really appreciate it.
This afternoon I was given approval from my bank to close on the house. By law the earliest that I can close is Monday. So as soon as the lawyers schedule the close I will let you know.

Hi all. Mom asked me to post some pictures of her many kinds of sunflowers. She wanted Pete to see the Orange Sunflower. I happen to like the rest and decided to share.
Also, not as big an event as Liz’s Birthday yesterday (hope you had a wonderful day). Sunny turns three today. I had a seminar to go to today so I stopped by yesterday to give him his gift. Yes I gave him a sock monkey, I thought N would appreciate it. This is how he was after Mom and I got back from Menards. We went to get a replacement strip for the floor between the living room and kitchen. Lee was nice enough to cut it to size for me due to me fear of circular saws (insert snickers here).
Also, Sunny no longer looks like a Redneck Yorkie Poo. A few weeks back he got into alot of burrs and Mom had to cut them from his hair. Poor puppy, He had bald spots all over himself. He actually looked kind of funny.
Carolina had the baby. Born around 9:50 August 6, 2010 weighing in at 9lbs. Same name as his father.
