Time to go Home

Well, I’m sitting at the Stuttgart airport waiting for my flight home. I get to have a layover in the Charles-de-Gaulle airport in Paris. I really don’t like this airport. The last time I was flying through there they lost my luggage, smoking was allowed everywhere (OK, only in smoking areas, but it smelled), and they were rude. I know what you are thinking, but the stereo type is not always true. I had to wake up at 4:00am this morning to make my flight. It is nice to be driven in a taxi that is a Mercedes with leather seats insted of junk cars that smell in San Francisco. The German’s know what they are doing! My flight is just about to board, more from Paris in an hour.

Hope your trip home was uneventful. I hate that Paris airport, too. Having to switch terminals to get to our international flight… with all our luggage, I recall… I was 6 mos. pregnant as we were running through the airport. It was crazy. We made it to our gate, after going through security again, just in time. Ugh.
Sorry we weren’t in Germany to host you again. It was fun to have you with us…

I hope the meeting went well and the trip was a success. I also hope that the weather is good for your return. Nothing but rain here today.

Given the good times with the economy, it’s unlikely that the cab drivers in SF will be upgrading to leather seats any time soon.
