Scott in Skin-Tight Lycra

OK. Sorry if you’re eating breakfast in front of the computer and the image suggested by the title of this post upset your stomach. I won’t necessarily expose you to the horror, but I am participating in the annual Tour de Cure bike ride to raise money for the American Diabetes Association. Everybody on my team wears these skin-tight Lycra biking jerseys with the company logo. Not looking forward to that!

I think this is a pretty worthwhile cause because diabetes is quickly becoming a worldwide epidemic and impacts so many people in a huge way. As many of you know, my Mom was a Type 1 diabetic and suffered for much of her too short life trying to manage it. She died of complications of diabetes from an infection as the result of having her leg amputated due to poor circulation. My Dad has Type 2 diabetes and struggles every day to control his blood sugar. Anyway, enough of this serious stuff, that’s not what this blog is for!

Anyway, if you’d like to sponsor me by donating to the ADA please see this link for how you can do so.
